Getting into the springtime mood, hair inspo and client testimonials!

Hope you are all having a great month so far! Can you believe we are already a quarter of the way into 2023? Despite the cold snap we had, I’m loving the Springtime energy of London: longer days, more sunshine (soon) and the promise of warmer days brings me so much joy. Londoners are forever preoccupied with the weather, and it seems like there are more smiling faces around, given the extra daylight we’re enjoying.

Beyond mood benefits, increased sunshine also helps our bodies regulate Vitamin D levels, brings vitality to the skin’s appearance (with adequate SPF protection, though!), and even makes our blondies go even blonder, with natural sunkissed highlights appearing in the summer!

For those of us without the lucky genetics of hair that changes colour with the sun, there’s plenty of inspo going around if you’re in the market for a refresh. Here are my top three balayage looks for Spring this year:

This cool blonde balayage look just screams Spring:

it’s light enough to pop against any colorful outfits you have planned for this season, but not too warm (save that for summer!)

Lighter, brighter pieces of hair

Around the front is a stunning way to add dynamism and interest to your look, drawing attention to your glowy skin and statement makeup.

- Brunette balayage with warm

Red undertones is the most chic transitional look, especially for my fairer-skinned girls.

No matter which balayage look you opt for, one of my top hairstyles for the season is the classic half-up half-down. It’s perfect to spruce up a WFH look on Zoom with a hair tie, or add feminine flair to your look for date night with a bow. Bonus points for soft, textured waves that add more dimension and volume.

Accessorising in spring

When it comes to accessorizing, Spring is all about drawing attention to cute pops of colour and statement textures—even in small doses.

Hair accessories I’ll be reaching for this season include:

Head bands to keep stray flyaways out of my hair, particularly while on a walk or run.

Hair clips in a row, to finish off an elegant messy waves.

Pearls claw clip for when you’re rolling up your sleeves to potter around the house or finish off life admin on a rainy Sunday with elegance.

TESTIMONIAL

I was in the hands of Lorena and I couldn’t be happier. I Had and

old balayage, very blonde and I wanted more dimension and a natural look.

Lorena knew exactly what she was doing, she did exactly what I wanted.

I wouldn’t trust no one else with my hair.
