Starting the year off right: January updates, habits, events and goals!

Happy January! Hope you’ve all had the best start to 2023 so far, despite the cold weather. Perhaps you’re back to the office, or just coming down from the high of family time and the Christmas holidays. This month, I’m bringing you all my suggestions for starting the year off on a good note, including some pampering recommendations for you to treat yourself to, habits I am incorporating into my new year routine, and a few events that I have on my radar for January. Let’s get into it!

Ideas for new goals and habits

Going into the new year, I am so excited to reset my body and mind and prep myself for a great 2023. I thought I’d share some of the tips and strategies I am incorporating into my routines in case you’re in need of some inspiration:

○ Write down four monthly goals and four yearly goals for yourself, and set aside time to track your progress and reflect — both at the end of each month and at the end of the year. A great place to do this is in a notebook or in the Notes app on your phone!

○ One of my goals for 2023 is to incorporate new habits like exercising, meal prepping and meditation. These practices will strengthen my mind-body connection, bring me more peace and groundedness, and improve my physical and mental health. These habits don’t have to be complicated either - carving out a bit of time in your diary to tap into self-care and commit to yourself is all you really need to start feeling (and looking) better.

○ In particular, I’ve found that mindfulness is such a great way to feel more present and experience more gratitude for your life. So often we are bombarded with reminders of what we don’t have, but tuning into the stillness within is the first step to remembering what you do already have: good health, strong relationships, down time to unwind, adventures to look forward to, peace of mind — the list goes on.
